Washington, D.C. Programs
COA's Washington office takes an active role on behalf of our member companies to ensure that their interests are represented in Washington and abroad. Through direct advocacy, programs, congressional testimony, written reports, opinion pieces, and high level consultations with public and private leaders, the Council applies a proven, multi-faceted approach to representing its members' interests across a variety of business sectors.

These conferences highlight successful experiences of Asian and Latin American companies conducting business in both regions, as well as the importance and implications of investment and trade flows between Asia and Latin America.

The Americas Society and Council of the Americas hosts private meetings and roundtables to exchange relevant thoughts, ideas, and creative recommendations for promoting democracy, the rule of law, investment, trade, and economic development.

We offer leading policymakers, government officials, our members, and other special guests  the opportunity to dialog about pressing hemispheric issues with leaders of the Americas in public and private meetings.

The Americas Society and Council of the Americas hosts several heads of state during the United Nations General Assembly, held every September in New York.

Our annual Washington Conference on the Americas is the premiere event in the nation’s capital focusing on the Americas and brings together senior corporate executives with the highest level of public sector speakers.
