Ragnhild Melzi
Senior Director, Public Policy Programs
Ragnhild Melzi is the Senior Director of Public Policy Programs of the Americas Society and the Council of the Americas. Randy joined the AS/COA in January 2009. She has significant experience in Latin American finance, having started a banking career in Manufacturers Hanover in the early 1980s where she was involved in public sector financing and Mexican corporate debt restructurings. While at Chemical Bank and Chase, she led large syndicated loans and bond offerings for corporations, banks and government organizations in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. At JPMorgan and Standard Bank, she was responsible for originating leveraged finance transactions. Randy managed the private banking group at Banco Continental de Panama. She also worked in the private banking divisions of HSBC and Citibank. Randy is a native speaker of Spanish and fluent in French. She holds an MBA and a BA from Cornell University and a Maitrise en Administration et Gestion from the Universite Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve. Born in Peru, she grew up in the Canal Zone and Panama.
